I've only seen one once at a Toys R Us and it was broken. Are these harder to find than the average FurReal newborn or is it just my area?

Yeah, these are pretty difficult to find now. In the UK they were a ToysRUs exclusive for a while but then got discontinued in 2009. I haven't seen any since, which is a shame as they are one of the most realistic newborns.

I thought so. The one I saw was at Toys R Us a few months back but it was either broken or the demo batteries had run down because it didn't respond to petting or anything. This is one electronic pet I'm especially curious about because I used to raise guinea pigs as a kid and I'm interested in finding out just how realistic these are.
