• 2007 (August) - Sega Toys release Yume Neko Smile (Translated as Dream Cat Smile) in Japan. It is available in White and Grey.
• 2007 (October) - Hasbro releases the FurReal Playful Cat as part of the FurReal Friends Range, only available in white but with green or blue eyes.
• 2008 (October) - My Playful Cat re-released by Hasbro under the name White Kitty Cat. Further TV advertising is done for the pet.
• 2009- (January) Hasbro discontinues the FurReal Playful Cat. Sega Toys discontinue grey cat and release black and white version.
